In 1996, Eli Lilly introduced Zyprexa, a popular antipsychotic drug that has been prescribed to almost 20 million people in 84 countries. Recently, Lilly agreed to pay $750 million to settle suits by 8,000 people who claimed they developed diabetes and or other medical problems after taking their drug.
